The idea for the new academy was to create a house-by-house and house-in-house concept in the form of a bold, cubic wooden construction. The slanted wooden cube on the outside was designed as an entrance hall, attached to the render façade of the former market hall.

- The slanted wooden cube on the outside of the building needed the best possible protection against the effects of the weather. Inside, the solid wood furniture and wall panels were to be given a natural finish.
