The Oberlandesgericht (Higher Regional Court) of Cologne was built between 1907 and 1911 and was at that time the largest court building in Germany. In the monumental five-story sandstone building in the neo-Baroque style, 1,600 windows were replaced during refurbishment work.

- Short description
- The windows are in an exposed outdoor area and need optimum protection against penetrating moisture. For an optimum opaque coating, it was necessary to prevent substances in the wood from bleeding through to the surface. In the end, the decision was made to use a weather-resistant and permanently elastic opaque coating. In addition to giving the windows the proper care, it was also essential to adhere to the regulations imposed by the building’s listed status.
