Field of application
- Water vapour permeable, conductive intermediate layer in the Remmers SL TECH 4130 system
- System component in TÜV PROFICERT product interior certified systems (707106482-2)
Properties
- Water vapour diffusion capable
- Silk gloss
- Conductive
- Meets ESD requirements when used in combination with Remmers PUR Aqua Top ESD
- Physiologically harmless once fully cured
-
Preparation
-
Substrate requirements
The substrate must be firm, dimensionally stable, capable of bearing loads and free of loose constituents, dust, oil, grease, rubber marks and other substances that could interfere with adhesion.
Suitable water vapour permeable Remmers epoxy primers or epoxy scratch coats must be used.
Concrete max. 6 m% moisture Cement screed max. 6 m% moisture -
Preparations
Before the application of the product a smooth surface must be produced, e.g. with a scratch coat.
Epoxy Conductive or Epoxy Conductive LE must be applied according to the current Technical Data Sheet as transverse conducting layer.

-
Preparation
-
Combination container
Add the entire quantity of the hardener (component B) to the base compound (component A).
Mix thoroughly with a slow-speed electric mixer
(approx. 300 - 400 rpm).Pour the mixture into a separate container and mix again thoroughly.
Mix for at least 3 minutes.
Insufficient mixing is indicated by streaks forming.
Add up to 10% by mass of water, depending on the binder, and mix again.
-
Application
-
The times given are reduced at higher temperatures and increased at lower temperatures, in particular in combination with high humidity.
-
Working tools / cleaning
-
Notched trowel, notched squeegee, looped roller, spiked roller and mixing device
-
More detailed information can be found in the Remmers Tool Programme.
Clean tools, equipment and any splashed material immediately with water while still fresh.
Take suitable protective and waste disposal measures when cleaning.
-
Storage / shelf life
-
If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 12 months.

Filled coating
The application rate depends on the condition of the substrate.
Use Selectmix SBL as the filler.
Apply the filled coating to the prepared surface and spread it using a suitable notched trowel or notched squeegee. Then finish the surface with a spiked roller (metal). For thinner coats, it may be advisable to use a looped roller to prevent uneven distribution.
Always seal with PUR Aqua Top ESD. Subsequent maintenance of the sealant is essential (see Technical Data Sheet).
approx. 1.3 kg/m² binder
approx. 1.3 kg/m² filler
up to 0.13 kg/m² water

General information
-
Unless otherwise specified, all of the values and application rates given above have been determined under laboratory conditions (20 °C) using standard colours. Slight deviations from these values may arise if the product is worked with on site.
When coating continuous surfaces, only use materials with the same batch number as slight differences in colour, gloss and texture may occur.
Using low-opacity colours may result in reduced coverage due to the transverse conducting layer.
Before the application of the covering layer, the correct functioning of the transverse conducting layer and of the connections must be proved and registered in a measurement report.
Low levels of air humidity can cause a higher discharge resistance, uneven or thicker layers can even lead the coating to not be conductive at all.
Carbon fibres are visible on the surface. Because of the way the coating is applied, the carbon fibres may bundle.
The coating system has a lightly textured surface that is characteristic of this type of system.
The conductive intermediate layer must be sealed with PUR Aqua Top ESD within 48 hours at the latest.
Abrasive mechanical loads leave traces of wear.
Epoxy resins are generally not colourfast when exposed to UV light or weather.
In case of repairs on the surface or working up to existing surfaces, there will be a visible transition in appearance and texture.
In order to achieve even surfaces, appropriate allowances for roughness depth must be taken into consideration.
Suitable for vehicle traffic with rubber tyres; not suitable for vehicle loads with metal or polyamide tyres nor for dynamic point loads.
Further notes on working, system construction and maintenance of the listed products can be found in the latest Technical Data Sheets and the Remmers system recommendations.
To reduce the susceptibility to dirt and to increase the lifespan, we generally recommend carrying out initial conductive treatment twice. This significantly improves the cleanability.

Disposal instructions
-
Larger quantities of leftover product should be disposed of in the original containers in accordance with the applicable regulations. Completely empty, clean containers should be recycled. Do not dispose of together with household waste. Do not allow to enter the sewage system. Do not pour liquid coating or residues down the drain, even when cleaning tools used for applying the coating.
