    • Easy to apply
    • Weatherproof and moisture-regulating
    • Block resistant (in accordance with Code of Practice HO.03)
    • Long-lasting, dirt-repelling and hard-wearing
    • Excellent flow properties
    • Highly elastic
    • With UV blocker
    • Exceptional adherence on old coatings when used for maintenance work.
    • Preparation
      • Substrate requirements

The substrate must be clean, dust-free and dry.

Dimensionally stable wood building elements: wood moisture content 11-15%

Wodd elements with limited dimensional stability: wood moisture content max. 18%

      • Preparations

Thoroughly remove any dirt, grease and non-adhering old coatings.

Thoroughly sand any old coatings that are still intact.

Sand grey and weathered wood surfaces down to sound, bright wood.

Observe BFS Code of Practice No. 18 "Coatings on Wood and Wooden Working Materials in Outdoor Areas".

Pre-treat wood in outdoor areas that is to be protected from soft rot and/or blue stain with Aqua IG- 15* or Aqua HSL-35* (not necessary for wood indoors).

    • Application
      • Application requirements

        Optimum temperature of material, surroundings and substrate: min. +10 °C - max. +25 °C. Relative humidity 50% - 65%.

      • Stir well.

        Application by brush, spraying

Flow cup gun: nozzle size: 2.0 - 2.5 mm; atomiser air pressure: 2.0 - 3.0 bar.

Airless spraying: nozzle size: 0.28-0.33 mm; material pressure: 70-90 bar.

Air-mix spraying: nozzle size: 0.28-0.33 mm; material pressure: 70-90 bar, atomiser air pressure 1-2 bar.

        Apply further coats once dry.

After priming, carry out light intermediate sanding.

Apply 2 - 3 coats with a slight intermediate sanding.

Maintenance coating: 1 - 2 coats with a slight intermediate sanding.

Seal opened containers well and use contents as soon as possible.

    • Application instructions
      • Check colour, adhesion and compatibility with the substrate by setting up a trial area.

Do not use below + 5°C

If the temperature is too low or the humidity too high, it will take longer for the material to reach the desired properties.

If the temperature is too high or the humidity too low, the material will dry more quickly. In such cases, we recommend adding Aqua OZA-90 Open Time Additive.

Divide large surfaces in lanes and do not coat extensive areas at once.

Sealing compounds must be compatible with the coating and may only be applied once the coating has dried thoroughly.

Areas that are being coated or dried should be protected against rain, wind, sunlight and condensation.

Gaskets that contain plasticizers tend to become sticky in conjunction with dispersion paints. Use plasticizer-free gaskets.

Substances in oak may bleed, causing dark discolouration, when coated with water dilutable dispersion stains.

The clear version is not suitable for use on exterior surfaces exposed to direct weathering

      • Drying

Dust-dry: approx. 1 hour Can be coated: approx. 4 hours

Practice values at +20 °C and 65% relative humidity.

The coating may take significantly longer to dry thoroughly in lower temperatures, at high humidity or if the maximum layer thickness has been exceeded.

      • Thinning

If necessary with water (max. 5 %).

    • Working tools / cleaning
      • Paintbrush with acrylic bristles, flat brush, flow cup gun, airless/airmix spraying equipment

      • Clean tools immediately after use with water and detergent.

Ensure that any residue from cleaning is disposed of correctly.

    • Storage / shelf life
      • If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 24 months.

    • Usage
      • Approx. 100 ml/m² per coat

    • General information
      • On planed larch and softwoods with a high resin content, the coating may have reduced adhesion and resistance to weathering. This is especially the case on horizontal year rings, knots and areas of winter growth that are high in resin. Maintenance and renovation must be carried out more frequently on these surfaces. The only remedy for this is pre-weathering or very coarse sanding (P80). If these wood types are rough-sawn, considerably longer maintenance and renovation intervals are to be expected.

    • Disposal instructions
      • Larger quantities of leftover product should be disposed of in the original containers in accordance with the applicable regulations. Completely empty, clean containers should be recycled. Do not dispose of together with household waste. Do not allow to enter the sewage system. Do not empty into drains.

    • Safety / regulations
      • For further information on the safety aspects of transporting, storing and handling the product and on disposal and environmental matters, please see the current Safety Data Sheet.
