    Field of application

    • Preparation
      • Substrate requirements

        The substrate must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease and loose substances, and prepared in the correct manner.

        Dimensionally stable wood building elements: wood moisture content 11-15%

      • Preparations

        Remove resin galls.

        If necessary, impregnate non-resistant woods with a wood preservative* (*Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use).

    • Application
      • Stir well.

        Airless spraying: nozzle size: 0.23 - 0.28 mm, material pressure: 80 - 120 bar.

        Airmix spraying: nozzle size: 0.23 - 0.28 mm, spray pressure: 80 - 100 bar, air pressure: 1.2 - 2.0 bar.

        Before the second application, intermediate sanding: P 280, remove sanding dust. After drying overnight, apply the top coat.

        Seal opened containers well and use contents as soon as possible.

    • Application instructions
      • Check the product’s compatibility, adhesion and sealing effect on the substrate by applying to trial areas.

        Before coating technically modified woods and wood-based materials, apply the product to a trial surface and conduct a suitability test on the desired area of use.

        Ensure good ventilation.

      • Drying

        Dust-dry: after 40-50 minutes
        Ready for sanding: after approx. 4 hours

        Can be overcoated with a water-based varnish after min. 12 hours and max. 24 hours.
        At longer waiting times, the coating must be sanded again and a thin layer of new intermediate coating applied.

      • Thinning

        Ready to use; if necessary, dilute with 5 to 10% V-890 Thinner.

    • Working tools / cleaning
      • Manual spray gun, automatic spraying equipment

      • Clean tools using WV-891 Brush Wash or V-890 Thinner.

        Ensure that any residue from cleaning is disposed of correctly.

    • Storage / shelf life
      • If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 12 months.

    • Usage
      • 125 - 150 ml/m² per coat
        (Equivalent to a wet film thickness of 125 - 150 µm, dry film thickness 25 - 40 µm)

    • Disposal instructions
      • Larger quantities of leftover product should be disposed of in the original containers in accordance with the applicable regulations. Completely empty, clean containers should be recycled. Do not dispose of together with household waste. Do not allow to enter the sewage system. Do not pour liquid coating or residues down the drain, even when cleaning tools used for applying the coating.
