RSG restoration

Permanently dry walls and cellars? With an extended guarantee from us!

Why an existing building rather than a new build?

Older buildings have a certain charm and are often less expensive than new buildings of the same size and design. Anyone who decides to buy an older building should also calculate restoration costs into the price right from the outset. These include modernisation measures in line with your personal preferences, for instance taking down walls, putting in new floors or renovating stairs and doors. In addition, most older buildings also require age-related restoration work, for instance new heat insulation or subsequent waterproofing. Many home owners fear the costs and effort required to restore an older building. It is a fact that if restoration work is planned and completely professionally, it not only improves living comfort, but also saves lots of money for energy and heating costs in the long-term.

Typical causes of damage on buildings

  • Rainwater and splashwater Moisture penetrates the masonry and saturates the wall cross-section due to the missing or faulty base seal.
  • Moisture from outside: Moisture penetrates the masonry and/or floor slab due to the missing or faulty outer seal.
  • Rising damp: Moisture penetrates the masonry due to the missing or faulty horizontal impervious layer and/or due to the missing or faulty outer seal, and rises through the capillaries in the wall cross-section.
  • Hygroscopic damp: Any salts in the masonry have the ability of absorbing moisture from the ambient air and becoming deposited in the building materials.
  • Condensation: On colder surfaces that have been created due to thermal bridges or saturated masonry, the water vapour in the rooms can condense to water on the surface of the part.

Don’t worry: this problem can be solved by professional restoration specifically designed for your object

1. Surface equalisation (flat)
Primer with Kiesol (1:1 with water)
Bonding course made of WP Sulfatex
Equalisation with WP DS Levell.

Sealing cove with WP DS Levell in the wall-base intersection

2. Fill-surface building sealing
Waterproofing with MB 2K
Dry layer thickness ≥ 3.0 mm in two work steps

3. Perimeter insulation
Full-surface adhesion with MB 2K

4. Waterproofing protection
Mounting DS Protect

5. Base render
Bonding course with spray mortar
Base render made of SP Top SR

6. Plaster sealing
Plaster sealing with MB 2K

RSG restoration system 2

Benefits of the new system:

- Extremely string adhesion
