    Field of application

    • For use on floors/walls indoors and outdoors
    • Waterproofing in new buildings
    • WTA-compliant retroactive waterproofing
    • Waterproofing of plinths and base points
    • Waterproofing in a bond
    • Horizontal waterproofing in and underneath walls
    • Sealing containers

    Properties

    • Flexible
    • Good adhesion to the substrate
    • Water pressure tight
    • High sulphate resistance and low active alkali content (SR/NA)
    • Can be applied as a grout and a filler
    • Low-stress and crack-free setting
    • Preparation
      • Substrate requirements

Clean, dust-free and capable of supporting a load.

      • Preparations

Remove projecting seams and mortar remains.

Break off or slope corners and edges.

        Coves must be rounded out.

Seal off indentations > 5 mm using a suitable filling knife.

        If necessary, provide damp proofing.

Roughen the surface of plastic pipes with sandpaper; clean and, if necessary, sand metal pipes.

Seal passing-through pipes by using the product to form a cove around them.

        Primer for untreated surfaces

Apply Kiesol (1:1 with water) without pressure and avoiding nebulisation moving horizontally along the surface from top to bottom. Proceed by priming one limited area at a time.

Immediately remove the product in excess.

All follow-up working steps must be carried out wet-on-wet.

    • Application
      • By brush / mortar cover / trowel application
      • Application temperature: min. 5 °C max. 30 °C
      • Application requirements

Temperature of the material, air and substrate: from min. +5 °C to max. +30 °C

      • Vertical surface waterproofing

Apply the material in two layers on the previously prepared substrate.

Apply the second layer once the first can no longer be damaged.

        Horizontal surface waterproofing

Apply the material in two layers on the previously prepared substrate.

Apply the second layer once the first can no longer be damaged.

After the waterproofing has dried thoroughly, place two layers of PE sheet over the waterproofing before the screed is laid.

At the edges, the waterproofing layer is applied up to the upper edge of the floor or up to the horizontal barrier.

        Connection details/building element joints

Corners and connection joints in permanently wet areas should be bridged with the VF Water Stop System.

Apply the material as a contact layer and work in Water Stop VF 120.

The connection to rising building elements (e.g. windows and doors etc. that go down to the floor) is carried out using the self-adhesive SK Water Stop System and then finished with MB 2K.

    • Application instructions
      • Once it has hardened, mortar must not be made workable again by adding either water or more wet mortar.

Protect wet mortar surfaces against frost, rain and drying out too quickly for at least 4 days.

Mixing by hand and the mixing of partial quantities are not permitted.

Waiting time for containers approx. 10 days.

Apply waterproofing material to the side facing the water (positive water load).

Rigid preliminary waterproofing is required in the case of moisture penetration from the rear.

        Protecting the coating

        Protect coated surfaces from damage.

If the waterproofing material is used directly, a protective layer must be applied.

Apply Kiesol to the waterproofing material to increase its resistance against liquid manure.

        Laying ceramic tiles

Lay tiles once the waterproofing material can sustain foot traffic without being damaged.

    • Working tools / cleaning
      • By brush / mortar cover / trowel application
      • Mixer, wide brush, paintbrush, smoothing trowel, grout broom, filling knife

      • Clean tools with water while the material is still fresh.

    • Storage / shelf life
      • Protect form moisture
      • Shelf-life 12 months
