When a major south coast food producer wanted to install new drainage systems and refurbish the floors in the production facility, they contacted Remmers (UK) Limited because of their previous good experiences. Flooring from Remmers, applied by Datum Industrial Flooring Contractors, had outperformed all of the other systems trialled.
This major refurbishment project meant working at weekends and during plant closures to prevent any interruption of production. The ideal flooring system selected for the work was Remmers’ Floormix, a fast curing epoxy based material which can be installed in short working periods, and cures rapidly to allow production to restart. Most importantly, it has no harmful or unpleasant odours that could damage or taint foodstuffs. The result – brightly coloured floor finishes which are slip resistant, can withstand continual forklift trafficking, and which can be cleaned frequently with hot water and detergents at 60ºC.
