Fort Dunlop – Flooring for 21st Century Renaissance
The iconic structure known to millions as Fort Dunlop in Birmingham, was originally only the tyre warehouse, today it is all that remains of the factory. Now some 20 years after the factory finally closed and became a symbol of urban decay, the site along with the building, is being redeveloped.
The development will also include 700,000 square feet of modern office space – now looking to be a symbol of 21st century renaissance.
To create a dramatic entrance, and throughout the six floors of the atrium, a self levelling Remmers flexible floor system in a stunning ‘silk finish’ black colour has been applied by contractors Prestec Limited.
