How can you make the mixing of resin and hardener "fool proof" so that absolutely nothing can go wrong? That was the task – and Remmers have come up with a brilliantly simple solution: deliver the resin and hardener in a multi-chamber bag.
With this new bag mixing errors are now impossible. The A and B components are packaged in the current mixing ratio in a single plastic bag separated by a plastic clip. When the clip is removed, the two components in the closed bag can be safely and cleanly mixed by kneading. It takes less than 60 seconds. After mixing, the contents of the bag are cleanly squeezed out through a screw-on nozzle just by rolling up the bag. You do not need any tools for mixing and contact with skin is avoided. That not only reduces packaging waste but also any health risks.
It is well known that direct contact with epoxy resins should be avoided as repeated exposure can lead to skin sensitisation or burns. With these new packages – available in 1.0 and 2.5 kg sizes – the product is effectively in a protective glove, and used as instructed will not come in contact with the skin. It is ready to go in less than a minute – no mess, no fuss and no mistakes, with the empty packaging not requiring any specialist disposal.
